Author’s Note to Readers
This epic story
is not a sequel to the--Bible; it is
not a continuation of Bible. It is a standalone
fictional story derived straight from the author’s imagination. I confess, I
know very little, if anything of or about Bible stories. I rarely had gone to a
church of any kind; much less carried an actual Bible. Do I believe in God? I
am still trying to figure that one out. I want too. If you download and read
this powerful story, it is at your own peril. However, what I do know of the
Bible is from watching biblical movies as a young child and absorbing the
content. I don’t know if that counts or not. They were The Ten Commandments, The
Robe, King of Kings, and others. As a young child imaging myself seeing Jesus Christ walk the Earth again, I was in glee. If I can
remember correctly, I stood looking out and over, what I believe to be, my late
grandmother’s Mary Collins balcony, which was located on the south side of
Chicago. I could have been about seven or eight years old. I was looking down
on Michigan Avenue while listening to an old Jackie Wilson song. Sounds crazy, but true, I know. That dream had
never left me. Now I have created a powerful story around that dream. I still
question myself to why it took me so long to get that vision down on paper.
Some might say that the story jumps around a bit, and they might be right.
However, I
think, that it is needed for the story to feel complete. The countries
mentioned in this fictional story are real but the characters, the settings,
and the real time happenings and events are strictly false, made up by me, the
author. I did do a little research, and that helped to get some ideas going, as
I bounced them off my brain.
Again, as a
young child, I peered down onto the Avenue from that third floor building; I
would imagine and visualize Jesus walking, preaching and healing those who
lined the street and crosswalks in need and forgiving of sin every step of the
way. I do not want to give too much away. Please
do not send me nasty emails, inbox me on Facebook, or anywhere else because this is a delightful dream from
my childhood that I tried to fit into this modern
day twenty-first century. The only other person who knew of this dream is George Wilder Jr. This was very interesting
and so much fun to write. Reviews and
feedback are welcome. Enjoy.
