Jesus Christ, Son of Man, Returns.

Author’s Note to Readers
This epic story is not a sequel to the--Bible; it is not a continuation of Bible. It is a standalone fictional story derived straight from the author’s imagination. I confess, I know very little, if anything of or about Bible stories. I rarely had gone to a church of any kind; much less carried an actual Bible. Do I believe in God? I am still trying to figure that one out. I want too. If you download and read this powerful story, it is at your own peril. However, what I do know of the Bible is from watching biblical movies as a young child and absorbing the content. I don’t know if that counts or not. They were The Ten Commandments, The Robe, King of Kings, and others. As a young child imaging myself seeing Jesus Christ walk the Earth again, I was in glee. If I can remember correctly, I stood looking out and over, what I believe to be, my late grandmother’s Mary Collins balcony, which was located on the south side of Chicago. I could have been about seven or eight years old. I was looking down on Michigan Avenue while listening to an old Jackie Wilson song. Sounds crazy, but true, I know. That dream had never left me. Now I have created a powerful story around that dream. I still question myself to why it took me so long to get that vision down on paper. Some might say that the story jumps around a bit, and they might be right.
However, I think, that it is needed for the story to feel complete. The countries mentioned in this fictional story are real but the characters, the settings, and the real time happenings and events are strictly false, made up by me, the author. I did do a little research, and that helped to get some ideas going, as I bounced them off my brain.
Again, as a young child, I peered down onto the Avenue from that third floor building; I would imagine and visualize Jesus walking, preaching and healing those who lined the street and crosswalks in need and forgiving of sin every step of the way. I do not want to give too much away. Please do not send me nasty emails, inbox me on Facebook, or anywhere else because this is a delightful dream from my childhood that I tried to fit into this modern day twenty-first century. The only other person who knew of this dream is George Wilder Jr. This was very interesting and so much fun to write. Reviews and feedback are welcome. Enjoy.

Author Carol Ann Ashley Birtwell

Carol Ann Ashley Birtwell began her love of educating young children and their families,by being born into a wonder filled family of seven children. Music,Theatre and Dance became an integral part of her life. She has been a successful Kindermusik Educator now for over 20 years. Back in the day, Carol Ann Ashley, was one of the first successful Women Sales Reps for IBM in Worcester, Massachusetts and received her Bachelors Degree, with a double major in Theatre and Communications from the University of N. Colorado. Skiing in April in Tee Shirt and Shorts...Priceless! Another treasurable, life changing, experience was singing a concert for 100 blind children in Calcutta India. And,how lucky to experience the incredible acoustics inside the Taj Mahal for, there she was, bursting into song with "Amazing Grace!" Being the Head Teacher at a prestigious preschool in Northern California, while also teaching at the Gymboree Play and Music Center, earned Carol Ann Ashley the "International Teachers Excellence Award." The frog and the butterfly are "stamps" Carol Ann Ashley has been putting on the kids hands and feet after every class she teaches for the Dancing Toddlers. They come scampering over and can't wait to get them! There just had to be a book about a frog and a butterfly! Books are very power filled tools that can bridge language, self esteem, focus, visual stimulation, hand and eye coordination and so much more! The Illustrator for this book is as magical as the story itself. Our hope for this book is that children and families will learn some new instrument names, start learning the names of all of our creatures in the world, big and small, act out parts of the book at home, that "tree houses" for kids may come back into fashion, and that we can remember that true family values are perhaps as simple, as Freddie states... "Well you would do the same for me, as I just did for you."

Face

 Face
Late last night, I walked into my bathroom, like so many times before, but this time I actually really did focus in all the way on that face, and that face belonged to me. I had looked into that mirror many times but never really saw myself and I was a little afraid, not much but a little. My son was still sleeping. Nevertheless, there I was standing in my underwear and staring back at me was a face that looked exactly like mine from the medicine cabinet mirror. This is what I saw. I first saw a guy with no hair on his head, when at one time there was plenty, however, I was not fretting. As I peered closer and even closer at that face, I notice that my eyes were kind of blue. It appeared that I was wearing contacts. I never wore contacts in my life. My skin had aged, my jaws had kind of sunken in and that made me look older. My aging forehead still hung over my eyes. The kids at my grammar school, when I attended, use to tease me by saying that I had my own eye shade from the blazing sun. I hardly paid it much attention then and I still do not pay it much attention now. Still looking at my face in the mirror, it occurred to me that face was the face of someone holding in some deep thoughts about almost everything. A face of
someone who is friendly, understanding, and super creative. That face is the face of a father, provider, and a leader. As I continued to pour over my one and only face, I saw someone who will always strive to do the best that he can, all the time. I saw someone who is his own man. No one owns me. This face does what it wants. This face is a face of someone who will not be controlled. It is a face of someone who still have dreams. And also, I saw someone who is not so good looking anymore. I saw someone who wants to get married again. I saw someone who will try to get along with everyone. I saw someone with a fiery temper at times. I saw someone who was still trying to look young with very little hope of that. I saw a strong face, a face I’m very proud of and counting. I see the face of a loving individual.
I saw a track where many of my tears had fallen. This face once again told me that I needed a shave. After flushing the toilet again, I was on my way back to bed to try and forget about what I just seen, however, it was all good and very interesting. This face will be back again.
