Stay With Me Jesus
Jesus, stay with me because I need you all the time. I need you in the day. I need you in the night. I need you when my enemies are too many to fight. I need you when family members failed to understand me. I need you when those who claim to be my friends try to discourage me from doing the things that I love. Stay with me Jesus when the cold hard rain is pelting me in my face so that I can’t see where I’m going. Stay with me Jesus, I have lost my home and have no where to go. I need you to guide me to a better place. Stay with me Jesus when everyone seems to hate me. Stay with me Lord when I’m sleeping in the alley outside of the house I use to call home.
I use to have a big house, a nice car, a good job, and a loving family. That is all gone now. Stay with me Jesus. I need prayer, I need inspiration, I need the spirit of Jesus Christ our Lord, I need love. I need to smile more. Where is my life going? It seems that I work everyday just to get nowhere in this life. The only person that is getting rich from my labor are my oppressors. Life has been no friend to me. The more I live, the more I die. I don’t believe in anything anymore, I don’t believe in anyone no more, I just believe in Jesus and myself and everyone else can just take a backseat. Jesus, stay with me.
Sometimes it seems that I would be better off dead. I know my enemies would like that. But if I were dead or dying I could get out of a life of struggling, I could get out of life of ongoing hurt, I could get out of life of constant failure. I could just give up and go sit a corner and die. But I’m too young to die. I’ m too old to die.
Jesus, stay with my family and friends. Jesus, stay with my enemies for they know not what they do. Jesus, stay with all of those who lives has been turned upside down in someway. Jesus, stay with the poor, the homeless, the disabled, the middle class, American workers, the children, the doctors, the teachers, and so many others that make America great.

Senseless
Another senseless shooting in America. Innocent children and adults died for nothing. This is crazy. This is insane. There is no safe HAVEN for none of us away from these killers. Our schools are not safe, our churches are not safe, our malls are not safe, our threaters are not safe, our parks are not safe, our streets are not safe, our work places are not safe, our homes are not safe, our businesses are not safe. Cable
I gave up cable years ago, I still do not regret it. I will never get cable again it is a total rip off. I have netflix, DVDs, and the internet. That is all i need. I don't need a bunch channels I will not watch for extremely high prices. They try to pull you in by offering lower prices and once they got you, your monthly bill will never stop rising. WE DID THIS
Four years ago, the nation paused as we watched historic numbers of Americans standing in line for hours to cast their vote in the presidential election. And yesterday, we witnessed another remarkable repeat of democracy in action as citizens overcame voter suppression tactics, and personal challenges to ensure that they participated in the process and let their voices be heard. Even as the results were being tallied and announced on air, people in many states remained in line determined to vote. It was an affirmation of the power of individuals and the direction we want this country to go. Yesterday, we re-elected an African-American president to office; we chose to move forward.
Throughout President Obama's four years in office, he has faced unimaginable opposition from those who were less concerned about the welfare of the nation, and instead more interested in watching our Commander-in-Chief fail. And unfortunately, during the campaign, the president endured unparalleled rancor and acrimony from others, but faced it with impeccable grace and coolness. Dealing with all kinds of innuendos, and personal insults, he never once stooped to the ugliness. Even as some questioned his citizenship, his birth rights and his legitimacy, the president demonstrated grace and leadership for the world to emulate. There's no question that the voting public took notice.
The 2012 election -- on both a national and local level -- was about one fundamental underlying notion: the direction we want this country to move. At a time when civil rights, women's rights and gay/lesbian rights were so heavily under attack, Americans fought back at the ballot, and in courtrooms in many cases. After observing voter suppression tactics like new draconian ID laws, and the elimination of early voting days in places like Ohio and Florida (which also reduced the Church's efforts to get souls to the polls), people rose up to reclaim their fundamental constitutional rights. Folks like Bishop Victor T. Curry of the New Birth Baptist Church in Florida (and President of National Action Network's Miami-Dade chapter) organized a tremendous early voting drive called 'Operation Lemonade.' All around the country, we turned pain to power, and made lemonade out of lemons, as we pushed back against voter ID laws, conducted massive voter rallies, registered people to vote, went to court in some cases to challenge voter suppression efforts and watched yesterday as we made history yet again.
From every corner of this nation, a majority sent a resounding message that we will not tolerate a rollback of our liberties, nor will we sit by idly as the rights so many fought and died for were under attack. Yesterday was a people's movement where the majority defeated attacks against women, same-sex marriage and said yes to equality, voter enfranchisement and inclusion. Those that made outlandish statements against women's rights like Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock were overwhelmingly defeated. Democrats didn't just keep a majority in the Senate, they gained seats, and gay marriage scored wins in four states. I remember standing with Pastor Delmon Coates of the Mount Ennon Baptist Church in Maryland as he called on people to support a marriage equality referendum. He and members of his clergy stood their ground in the face of opposition and helped lead to triumph as marriage equality passed in the state of Maryland yesterday.
There's no question that the 2012 election was a monumental victory for this president and for all those that fought tirelessly on the side of progress. But we must take this victory and make certain that it is not an election night victory, but a victory instead for the American people to continue moving forward. The president must deal with the deficit without adding burden on the backs of the middle-class and seniors, and without giving immunity to the wealthy. The rich must pay their part, and programs created to benefit the middle-class and underprivileged must be maintained; we must move ahead responsibly and without undue pressure on those that can handle the least.

4 More Years
Thirty million votes are already cast for the next president of the Unites States, and the turnout so far favors President Barack Obama over GOP challenger Mitt Romney.
The contest for the White House has hardly begun, however: These results, from 34 states and the District of Columbia, account only for the party affiliation of those who have voted early. This obscures all those coveted independent voters that may defy loyalty with their registered party, a major factor in deciding such a tight election.
According to data collected by the Associated Press, key states such as Iowa, Florida, Ohio, Nevada and North Carolina see greater Democratic turnout, with the president's campaign adviser David Axelrod expecting Obama to preserve many of these leads into Election Day.

Hopefully Floridians will be this eager and vote Governor Scott out of office as do all others in States where their elected officials attempted to prevent them from voting. Let this be a lesson to all Americans EVERY election is important and you should participate or you get jackholes like Rick Scott, Nikki Haley, Bobby Jindal, John Kaisch, Scott Walker and others whose mission is to disenfranchise as many Americans they can thru legislation. Not extended the voting hours maybe the last straw for Rick Scott. This guy is a creep for having his people wait four hours in lines to vote, just to try and cheat and have Mitt Romney win the State. He should know that this will be his first and last time anywhere as a politician if he is not impeached first. Refusing to extend voter hours so that Americans can vote should be a violation against the Constitution. Get this clown out of office the sooner the better for Florida. AMERICA, PLEASE STOP VOTING FOR THESE KINDS OF PEOPLE, THEY DON'T HAVE YOU IN MIND, ONLY THEMSELVES AND DESTROYING WHAT GAINS IT TOOK DECADES TO IMPLEMENT. Some of these people are crazy and just hateful towards the midde class, the poor, the working poor. Hurricane Sandy proved that over and over again, they didn't want to send those folks in need an ounce of help unitil they started screaming and yelling on national TV. I am dead
No more do I have to feel the hatred of others and those of whom I do not know. No more do I have to dream of a perfect world. No more will my powerful enemies to tear me down for no reason at all. No more will I have to feel guilty for being the person that I am. My many failures have brought me home. No more will I have to bow before others whom I’m a lot smarter than. No more will I be punished for standing up for my dignity and the dignity of others. No more will I have to hear that I’m ugly from those who do not know my heart. No more shall I be made to feel undeserving as if I do not belong and as if I do not have the right to be successful. No more shall others be allowed to dictate my life. No more of wishing I was dead because, that would only embolden my enemies. No more of begging God to make my life and the lives of other good people a little bit better, when it appears that he is not listening. No more shall I deal with those who smile in my face and then demonize me when my back is turned. I can only pray for them. No more watching those who hate for just the sake of hating. No more of watching my good friends suffer and not being able to help at all. No more of asking God why did he put me on this earth only to mocked by those who are trying to control my life. No more of hiding my true self to blend in with those who can’t be trusted. No more of walking in the rain without an umbrella.
No wait, I’m not dead that would only mean that my enemies’ win. I can’t die. I have touched the lives of too many good people. They would be disappointed. I have been a beacon of truth, strength, and love. I have a family who loves me and true friends who care. I must not let them down because of my own bumps in the road. If I die I can no longer inspire them. If I die no longer will they see my toothy smile. If I die I can no longer touch their innocent souls that are crying to bare. I’m not dead, there are still too many things left for me to do, too many other places to see and go and good people who want to still test my thinking process to find out what page I’m really on. If I die no one will see what really a great person that I am. Who cares about enemies, they are just bullies with no real lives of their own, because if they had a life, they would not spend so much time trying to destroy the one that I have. Friends and family are breaking down my door to just to talk to me for a bit of guidance. If I died too soon because of life’s ups and downs, I would not be there in their time of real need and that would be the real tragedy.

The Republican Hate Machine
Since the election of Obama, the republican hatred towards humanity has persisted. They can't stand working people, they can't stand the poor, they can't those on social security, they can't stand education, they don't like anything that is good for America. They can't stand to see all Americans having access to healthcare. They don't want people to vote. To win at elections, they have to cheat.
For the last half century, republicans have sought office by telling stupid people who to fear, who to resent and who to hate. This worked well in changing the south from blue to red and it worked with some working class whites in the North as well. Though they started by attacking the civil rights desires of black people, today anyone not white, Christian and hetero will do as a target. Anyone using a miniscule amount of normal brain capacity knew that such an approach couldn't last, especially when republicans have rewarded working class whites with a relentless class warfare that destroyed their households and erased opportunities for their children.
Republicans are in danger of extinction, sinking into the tar-pit of hatreds that they themselves created. If they can't get a clue and start seeking office based on what we should do together instead of on disdain for the 47%, then I say good riddance.
There are so many people who will vote against their own interest it is unbelievable. Stupid people, dumb people, and the no information voter will elect someone who is just as stupid and soon America goes down the drain.

Republicans committing voter fraud!
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — What first appeared to be an isolated problem in one Florida county has now spread statewide, with election officials in nine counties informing prosecutors or state election officials about questionable voter registration forms filled out on behalf of the Republican Party of Florida.
State Republican officials already have fired the vendor it had hired to register voters, and took the additional step of filing an election fraud complaint against the company, Strategic Allied Consulting, with state officials. That complaint was handed over Friday to state law-enforcement authorities.
A spokesman for Florida's GOP said the matter was being treated seriously.
"We are doing what we can to find out how broad the scope is," said Brian Burgess, the spokesman.
Florida is the battleground state where past election problems led to the chaotic recount that followed the 2000 presidential election.
The Florida Democratic Party called on the state to "revoke" the ability of state Republicans to continue to register voters while the investigation continues. Oct. 9 is the deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 6 presidential election.
"It is clear that the Republican Party of Florida does not have the institutional controls in place to be trusted as a third-party, voter registration organization," said Scott Arceneaux, executive director of the Florida Democratic Party.
The Republican Party of Florida has paid Strategic Allied Consulting more than $1.3 million, and the Republican National Committee used the group for work in Nevada, North Carolina, Colorado and Virginia.
The company said earlier this week that it was cooperating with elections officials in Florida. It initially said the suspect forms were turned in by one person, who has been fired."Strategic has a zero-tolerance policy for breaking the law," Fred Petti, a company attorney, said Thursday.
But late Friday the company put out a lengthy statement on its website and said that it was aware of questionable forms in other counties and that it confirmed in each of those counties that the problem was with "one individual." Strategic said it had more than 2,000 people working in the state of Florida.
Strategic insisted that it has "rigorous quality control measures" and it blamed the Republican Party of Florida for the decision by Republican National Committee to dump the company on Thursday.
"When the Republican Party of Florida chose to make likely libelous comments about our effort and stated that the Republican National Committee suggested us as the vendor, the RNC was put in the unenviable position of ending a long-term relationship for the sake of staying focused on the election," the company stated.
In Florida, it is a third-degree felony to "willfully submit" any false voter registration information, a crime punishable by up to five years in prison.
In recent years, Florida's Republican-controlled Legislature — citing suspicious voter registration forms turned in by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN — has cracked down on groups holding voter registration drives.
The League of Women Voters filed a federal lawsuit against some of the restrictions and Florida agreed earlier this month to drop a new requirement to turn in registration applications within 48 hours after they are signed. The state has reinstated a 10-day deadline.
The questionable forms tied to the Republican Party have showed up in South Florida, including Miami-Dade, as well as counties in southwest and northeast Florida as well as the Florida Panhandle.
Election officials in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties on Thursday handed over more than 100 suspect forms to local prosecutors. They did so days after officials in Palm Beach County also alerted prosecutors.Ann Bodenstein, the elections supervisor for Santa Rosa County, said her staff started raising questions after an employee saw a form that changed the home address of a neighbor.
Paul Lux, election supervisor for Okaloosa County, said questionable forms in the Florida Panhandle appear to have all come from Strategic's effort based at the local Republican Party headquarters. He said his office has turned up dozens of suspect forms.
Lux said there have been forms that listed dead people and were either incomplete or illegible. He met with local prosecutors on Friday, but added that his staff was still going through hundreds of forms dropped off by Strategic employees.
Lux, who is a Republican, said he warned local party officials earlier this month when he first learned the company was paying people to register voters.
"I told them 'This is not going to end well,'" Lux said.But Lux added that he did not blame the Republican Party of Florida.
"I can't place the blame on RPOF if they hired a firm and that firm wasn't following the rules they were given to follow," Lux said.
The state party filed the complaint against Strategic Allied Consulting with state election officials, who late Friday handed the case over to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
An FDLE spokeswoman said the agency would not automatically open a criminal investigation, but would review to see if there were "possible criminal acts."

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS AS A TENANT
Tenant’s Rights and Responsibilities
• You should demand a written lease to avoid future misunderstandings with your landlord.
• You must pay your rent on time.
• You must keep the rental unit clean and undamaged.
• You are responsible for any damages beyond normal wear and tear.
• You must pay the utility bill if the lease makes you responsible.
• You may not alter the rental unit without your landlord’s approval.
• You must give written notice when you intend to move if you don’t want to lose your security
deposit. Normally, a 30-day notice is sufficient.
• The Illinois Retaliatory Eviction Act prohibits your landlord from evicting you for complaining to
any governmental authority (housing inspector, human rights commission, etc.).
Landlord’s Rights and Responsibilities
• Must keep the rental unit fit to live in.
• Must make all necessary repairs.
• Must keep the rental unit in compliance with state and local health and housing codes.
• May set the amount of rent and security deposit.
• May charge you a late fee for late rent. The late fee must be reasonable.
• May make reasonable rules and regulations.
Security Deposits
Your landlord can require you to pay a security deposit which may be used to cover unpaid rent, repair
damages to the unit, and clean the unit after you move. The amount of the security deposit is normally
equal to one month’s rent, however, there is no legal limit on the amount your landlord can require.
Interest on Your Security Deposit
State law requires your landlord to pay you interest on your security deposit if it is held for at least six
months and there are at least 25 units in your building or complex. Your landlord must pay you the
interest or apply the interest as a credit to your rent every 12 months. You may sue your landlord for
willfully failing to pay interest and recover an amount equal to your security deposit, court costs, and
attorney’s fees.
Return of Your Security Deposit
The Illinois Security Deposit Return Act requires your landlord to return your security deposit in full
within 45 days of the date you moved, if:
• Your building or complex consists of 5 or more units.
• You do not owe any back rent.
• You have not damaged the rental unit.
• You cleaned the apartment before you moved.
If your landlord refuses to return all or any portion of your security deposit, he/she must give you an
itemized statement of the damages along with paid receipts within 30 days of the date you moved.
You can sue your landlord to recover your security deposit. If a court finds that your landlord violated
the security deposit law, he/she could be liable for damages in an amount equal to two times your
security deposit, court costs, and attorney’s fees.
Rent Increases
In a week-to-week or month-to-month tenancy, the landlord can raise your rent by any amount if
he/she gives you seven days notice for a week-to-week lease or 30 days notice for a month-to- month
lease. Your landlord cannot raise your rent if you have a fixed-term lease. In other words, if you have
a year lease, your landlord cannot raise your rent prior to the expiration of the lease.
Illinois does not have a rent control law. Therefore, your landlord can raise your rent as much as
he/she deems necessary. However, you should contact your local units of government to see if your
city or county has a rent control ordinance.
Terminating A Lease
Your landlord must notify you in writing that he/she intends to terminate the lease. If you are renting
month-to-month, you are entitled to a 30-day written notice. Leases running year-to-year require a
60-day written notice.

Illinois Rental Property Utility Service Act
If your landlord has failed to pay a utility bill for which he/she is legally responsible, you may pay the
bill and deduct the payment from your rent.
Discrimination
A landlord may not refuse to rent or lease an apartment or house to potential tenants or have different
rental terms on the grounds of race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex and marital status, or
disability. Under the Federal Fair Housing Act, it is illegal to discriminate against families with children
when leasing a rental unit. Complaints about discrimination may be filed with the Illinois
Department of Human Rights.
The Eviction Process
A landlord must file a lawsuit in order to evict you. Your landlord cannot make you move by turning
off your utilities. Also, your landlord may not evict you by locking you out, changing the locks or
removing your personal property from the rental unit. The eviction process is detailed below:
Your landlord must give you a written notice stating the reason for the eviction. If the reason
is for nonpayment, your landlord must give you five days to pay the rent. If the eviction is for
violating a provision in the lease, your landlord must give you a 10-day notice.

Insult
This campaign is a monumental INSULT to all Americans. How DARE these two men think that we are all so st*pid as to vote for them when they REFUSE to tell us HOW they plan on running the economy, handling foreign relations and, of course, providing decent healthcare to our elderly citizens. In 2012 it is simply OUTRAGEOUS that a major political party thinks they can get by discussing nothing but cows and kids. But, it becomes understandable when one considers that if indeed they spoke of their plans they would never get elected. THEY even came out and said that. That is a challenge thrown out to Americans to question them, insist that they have a dialogue with Americans and ultimately REFUSE to vote for them if they refuse to provide answers. Anything less is the shirking of our responsibility as American citizens. Do not abrogate your future to people who think you do not have the ability to question, research and learn.

Suppression
Romney and company should be at least 30 to 40 points behind Obama in the polls. They are not. The only way they can win this election is to cheat and they will lie and cheat with voter suppression and purging of the rolls. Why isn't anyone shouting to the highest mountain about voter suppression. What wrong with the Justice Department? If this was the democrats doing the voter suppression, the republicans would be screaming and roaring out of every microphone and someone would go to jail.

Vote Them Out!
We must all vote out Republicans, we know what they are about. Let hope voter suppression backfire on republicans. If you fail to vote them all out, they will be here to stay. A two party system will be no more only conservative. The republicans are liars, and they know that we know that. They are counting on votes from those who are not going to investigate their claims on Medicare. They are looking for votes from those who hate Obama, women, college students, and the elderly. Vote them out or they are here to stay. Why are Some Americans sitting back and letting voter suppression happened? They are trying to take away our rights to vote. Fight Voter Suppression With Votes
Voter Suppression is very real. We cannot let this happen. If Americans need IDs, we must supply them with what they don't have. Voter suppression should be against the law, wake up Eric Holder. We can't let republicans take our votes because they want to stay in power forever. We must counter voter suppression with action, get people registered and to the polls to throw these lawbreakers out. If we all work to get the vote out, we can beat these guys at their own game. State GOP Governors wants to make sure some Americans like seniors, college students, the elderly will not be able to vote, they are or already have suppressed. WE CANNOT LET THEM WIN. PEOPLE HAVE FOUGHT AND DIED TO GAIN THE RIGHT TO VOTE AND THE REPUBLICANS ARE TAKING THAT AWAY. Get everyone registered and vote, vote, vote, and get these people out of office forever. Vote.

Hunger in America
The news has been full of articles about the 2012 Farm Bill. This publicity is good. The Farm Bill is not just about farming; it is an essential policy and funding point for delivering food and services to those in need. Reauthorized every five years, with the current version expiring this Sept 30th, the Farm Bill makes it possible for food pantries nationwide to serve neighbors who need help.
The House of Representatives did not move forward on a bill before the summer recess and will have only a limited time frame to act when they return to work in September. They are talking about making major cuts in appropriations.
The point we want to convey is that if benefits to unemployed, disabled and low income families are cut, then non-governmental organizations like Care for Real will have to try to make up the slack. Cutting food benefits to the poor will not make the poor go away. They will still need to eat.
The Farm Bill is a giant (about $100 billion a year) omnibus piece of legislation. It regulates everything from forestry to livestock. However, 80% of the money goes to fund nutrition and emergency food assistance programs such as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program formerly known as food stamps), the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and the Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (FMNP). About half of CfR's clients are presently receiving some form of this assistance. For SNAP, the average assistance in Illinois is $139/month.
Participation in these programs has risen since the start of the recession in 2007, of course. But federal and state budget deficits have resulted in funding cuts, widening the gap between demand and the availability of these services. For example, while the average benefit in Illinois is $139, the USDA estimates that a monthly food bill is $375 for a family of two and $546 for a family of four.
Budget cuts in this year's bill range from $4.5 billion passed in the Senate version of the bill to $30 billion proposed by the House, $16 billion of that in the SNAP program. As many as three million Americans could lose their SNAP benefits and up to 300,000 children could lose access to free school meal programs.
Cutting the SNAP benefits also effects local businesses at a time that many are struggling. Not only does SNAP create a critical safety net, but it generates $9 in local economic activity for every $5 given in benefits.
Many of the recent news articles focus on the misplaced priorities of the present bill. For example, both Chicago Tribune and New York Times editorials suggest that reform to the program should include tightening or removing the subsidies given to large and profitable agribusiness companies and removing the subsidies to companies that provide crop insurance. Others have suggested removing the subsidies for farming unproductive and environmentally sensitive wetlands and arid terrain and removing subsidies for food additives that are connected to the obesity epidemic.
